Autodesk Map 3D Software It DoesntI know that in the 2015 version all I had to do was click the data button under the Task pane and select add point cloud then creat new index, but in the 2016 software it doesnt have that option. I can bring them in as a raster by using recap, but I would rather just use the data I have and index them to an.ISD file then create my 3d surface data from that. I use it to locate sinkholescaves but havent been able to use it in almost 2 weeks. I use the 1 ft contours to determine the elevations of the sinkholes. The point cloud manager window that comes up when you type MAPPOINTCLOUDMANAGER in the command window is for indexing LAS files and processing them to.ISD files. They then can be added to the map and will have a layer under the task pane. ![]() The help section for 2016 needs work, and I think they need to fix that feature so it works like it did on 2015. You should head directly to the Map 3D IdeaStation and let AutoDesk hear about it. That means (given an area of interest) you can evaluate thousands of huge LAS files in seconds and discard those outside the AOI without reading the actual data. When I type -MAPPOINTCLOUDMANGER or MAPPOINTCLOUDMANAGER it returns unknown command. ![]() Is this the same as the MAPPOINTCLOUDMANAGER I was under the impression that it is not. Within this window, it shows nothing for me because I have not added any point cloud datasets (thats what Im trying to do). I also noticed that your screenshots included example point cloud data is titled ReCap. We need to be able to analyze the data without going through ReCap, which I believed could be accomplished with MAPPOINTCLOUDMANAGER. Are they effectively requiring any point cloud data be processed (very slowly and likely unsuccessfully in our case) through ReCap Chris. I only copied your command to the command-line and AutoCAD used its AutoCorrect-feature and replaced the command from MAPPOINTCLOUDMANAGER to POINTCLOUDMANAGER and started the AutoCAD dialog, not the one you are looking for. We need to be able to analyze the data without going through ReCap. I have POINTCLOUDMANAGER which brings an empty window with no tools or options to import anything.
